The company’s new management is working on the expansion of concentrate sales through new markets. These are mainly American and European markets. UMCC Titanium Board Member Dimitri Kalandadze says that an important task in this business activity was to remove all intermediate elements (i.e. intermediary companies for ilmenite concentrate sales facilitation)
He emphasized the fact that “now the Company aims to develop direct relations with end-consumers of our product.”
Dimitri Kalandadze also emphasized that despite the difficulties with logistics and the increase in the delivery price, which compared to 2021 has increased more than 3 times (from $28 to $92 per ton), UMCC TITANIUM has already shipped two separate parties of ilmenite, and two more parties are being prepared to be shipped to an American buyer.
In general, in 2023, UMCC TITANIUM plans to sell more than 170,000 tons of concentrates – this is about $50 million in revenue and regular income for the state budget of Ukraine.
