1953
Vilnohirsk. Prospecting in the area of The Samotkan’ River, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Central Ukraine
1954
Vilnohirsk. Malyshevskiy Heavy Mineral Sands Ore Deposit is discovered. Irshansk Exploring and Operational Enterprise (Irshansk EOE) is created. Subordination of Irshansk EOE to the Main office of Titanium, Magnesium and Rare-metal industries (Mainrarmet) of the Ministry of Non-Ferrous Metallurgy.
1955
Vilnohirsk. Decree of the Council of Ministers of the USSR stipulates creation of Verhnyodniprovskiy State Mining and Metallurgical Plant. Irshansk. Construction of the pilot mill.
1956
Vilnohirsk. Construction of the plant and industrial community begins. Conversion of the Mainrarmet into the Main Office of Titanium and Magnesium Industry (Maintitan) and the Main Office of Rare Metals Industry (Mainrarmet). Irshansk EOE is subordinated to Maintitan. Launch of the pilot 50-liter floating mine. Launch of the pilot processing plant.
1957
Irshansk. Admission of Irshansk EOE to Ukrburvuhilya Coal and Fuel Plant of Kyiv Regional Economic Soviet.
1958
Irshansk. Floating mine No. 1 is put into operation.
1959
Irshansk EOE, an enterprise of the Coal and Fuel Plant of Kyiv Regional Economic Soviet.
1960
Irshansk. Commissioning of the factory and 210-liter floating mine.
1961
Vilnohirsk. The first line for the production of zircon, rutile and ilmenite concentrates is put into operation. Irshansk EOE is liquidated due to the completion of construction of the main production facilities. Since Febuary 27, 1961 Irshansk Mining and Processing Plant becomes an enterprise of Coal and Fuel Plant of Kyiv Regional Economic Soviet.
1962
Vilnohirsk. The start of metallurgical production development.
1964
Irshansk. Assembly of the first ESH 10/60.
1965
Vilnohirsk receives the status of a town. Irshansk. Transfer of Irshansk MPP and its subordination to the Main Office of Titanium and Magnesium, Rare Metals Industry and Semiconductor Materials (Maintitanrarmet) of Ministry of Non-ferrous Metallurgy.
1968
Vilnohirsk. Reconstruction of the plant.
1970
Irshansk. Lemensky Ore Mine is put into operation.
1971
Irshansk. An openpit No. 2 is put into operation.
1972
Irshansk. Subordination of IMPP to the Main Office of Rare and Alloy Metals Industry (Mainrarmet) MNM USSR.
1974-1980
Vilnohirsk. The second reconstruction of the plant is performed in order to reach full capacity.
1980
Irshansk. IMPP is a member of Unionrarmet - All-Soviet Union Industrial Association.
1983
Irshansk. The recycling technology of technogenic raw material sources and extraction of precious metals is introduced.
1987
Irshansk. An openpit No. 5 is put into operation.
1988
Irshansk. IMPP is integrated into Rarmet Research and Manufacturing Association.
1989
Irshansk. Transfer of associations, enterprises and organizations of the former Ministry of Iron and Steel Industry and Ministry of Non-Ferrous Metallurgy to the USSR Ministry of Metallurgy. Shershnevsky openpit is put into operation.
1991
Vilnohirsk. Declaration of independence of Ukraine, choice of the market economy. The first export supply. Irshansk. The Ministry of Metallurgy seizes to carry out management functions.
1992
Vilnohirsk. Replacement of conveyor transport system with hydraulic transport. Irshansk. Assignment of IMPP to Ministry of Industry of Ukraine.
1998
Vilnohirsk. The plant becomes a part of SJSC Ukrainian Polymetals.
2000
Irshansk. An open pit mine No. 7 is put into operation.
2003
Irshansk. An open pit mine No. 8 is put into operation.
2005
Irshansk. An open pit mine No. 9 is put into operation.
2014
Vilnohirsk Mining and Metallurgical Plant and Irshansk Mining and Processing plant become branches of the State Enterprise United Mining and Chemical Company.
