JEAN-FRANÇOIS TURGEON

Chairman of the Supervisory Board

Jean-François Turgeon has extensive international leadership experience in the mining, metals, and chemical industries, particularly in the global titanium dioxide business. Mr. Turgeon is a Director of Tronox (NYSE: TROX), one of the world’s leading producers of titanium dioxide. From March 2021 to April 2024, he served as Co-Chief Executive Officer of Tronox. Prior to that, he held the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He joined Tronox in January 2014, where he was responsible for integrating the mineral sands and pigment businesses. His responsibilities also included integrated business planning, technology development, supply chain management, and capital investments, including the development of mining projects. Before joining Tronox, Jean-François Turgeon spent more than 24 years with the Rio Tinto Group, where he culminated his career as Managing Director of the Iron and Titanium Division. Mr. Turgeon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Université Laval and a Master’s degree in Hydrometallurgy from McGill University.

IMRAN AHMADZADA

Imran Ahmadzada has extensive experience in oil, telecommunications, financial and industrial institutions. Mr. Ahmadzada is the Group Chief Financial Officer of NEQSOL Holding and in charge of all asset, portfolio and investment management of the holding. He is also the Head of NEQSOL Holding Azerbaijan office. Imran Ahmadzada is a Member of the Boards of Directors at various companies within the holding, namely Nobel Energy (formerly Nobel Oil Services), Nobel Upstream, Norm, the largest cement producer in the South Caucasus, and Vodafone Ukraine telecommunications company. He joined the holding as a Chief Treasury Officer at Nobel Energy (formerly Nobel Oil) group of companies in 2013. Before joining the holding, Mr. Ahmadzada worked in different roles in the banking sector since 2004 in the fields of Treasury, Risk Management, Credit Underwriting, Portfolio Management. He also worked as an Adjunct Lecturer at various Universities. Mr. Ahmadzada is an alumnus of Harvard Business School, having successfully completed the Program for Leadership Development (PLD) in 2020. He obtained an MBA in Financial Management degree in 2009 from Coburg University in Germany.

TOGHRUL AHMADOV

Toghrul Ahmadov is a legal and compliance professional with over 17 years of experience in the energy industry. Mr. Ahmadov is Chief Legal Officer of NEQSOL Holding and is in charge of the holding’s legal, corporate governance, and compliance affairs. Previously, Mr. Ahmadov had a long career with BP, where he held Legal Counsel and Regional Ethics & Compliance Manager positions. In these roles, he was involved in legal counseling, due diligence, stakeholder management, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance. Mr. Ahmadov actively participated in major multinational projects, including TANAP and Shah Deniz Stage 2. Mr. Ahmadov earned his degree from Baku State University in 2005. Additionally, he successfully completed various international courses and training programs.

ISRAIL ASALIYEV

Israil Asaliyev is a senior executive with over 20 years of leadership experience across construction materials, mining, chemicals, and other industrial businesses. He currently serves as Head of the Industry & Mining Group at NEQSOL Holding, where he is responsible for defining and executing the strategy of the holding’s industrial and mining businesses, as well as leading M&A initiatives aimed at portfolio expansion and value creation. Mr. Asaliyev is a Member of the Board of Directors of Norm, the largest integrated cement producer in the South Caucasus, combining raw materials mining, clinker production, cement manufacturing, and logistics. Prior to joining NEQSOL Holding, Mr. Asaliyev served as Deputy CEO of Gilan Industrial Group, a diversified group operating in construction materials, mining, chemicals, and textile. During this period, he also led the development of Mingachevir Industrial Park, successfully bringing two greenfield industrial plants from concept to full operation. He later held the position of General Director of AAC Construction Materials, the largest producer of autoclaved aerated concrete, lime products, and washed quartz sand in Azerbaijan, that combines raw materials mining, industrial manufacturing, and processing. From 2003 to 2011, Mr. Asaliyev was active in management and IT consulting through a local consulting company he founded, while also working in international technical assistance as Head of U.S. and EU–funded programs in Azerbaijan, delivering nationwide capacity-building initiatives. Mr. Asaliyev earned a Master’s degree in 2001 from Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, a long-established and internationally recognized institution specializing in oil, gas, and extractive-industry education. His master’s dissertation focused on the organization of technical service management in extraction enterprises. His undergraduate studies included extensive coursework in geology, drilling of wells, and reserves exploitation, alongside economics and production organization. He is among the first PMI-certified Project Management Professionals (PMP) in Azerbaijan (since 2006). He completed Harvard Business School’s Making Corporate Boards More Effective program in 2021 and IMD’s High Performance Boards program in 2022. Mr. Asaliyev is a member of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration (SME), a global professional organization for mining and metallurgical professionals. He is the Founding Director of the Azerbaijan Cement Producers Association, the member of the Global Cement and Concrete Association. He has been a member of the NETTY Academy Award, Azerbaijan’s first professional IT award institution, since 2005.

Andriy Shevchenko

Member of the Supervisory Board

Andriy Shevchenko has extensive experience in public service, diplomacy, and international relations. He is widely recognized as a consistent advocate for human rights. In 2023, Mr. Shevchenko served as Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, where he was responsible for cooperation with NATO and the European Union, the development of bilateral international relations, and coordination of Ukraine’s engagement within the Ukraine Defence Contact Group (Ramstein format). From 2015 to 2021, he served as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Canada and Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). During his tenure, Ukraine and Canada signed a Free Trade Agreement and a Defence Cooperation Arrangement. Between 2006 and 2014, Mr. Shevchenko was elected three times as a Member of the Ukrainian Parliament. He authored and co-authored more than 60 legislative initiatives, including the Law of Ukraine “On Access to Public Information,” which became an important element of Ukraine’s anti-corruption legislation. Earlier in his career, Mr. Shevchenko worked in media and strategic communications. In 2005, he was awarded the Press Freedom Award by Reporters Without Borders. Mr. Shevchenko currently serves as Head of Mission of the Ukrainian World Congress, representing the interests of the global Ukrainian diaspora. He holds a Master’s Degree in Journalism from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and is a Yale World Fellow (2008), a Draper Hills Fellow at Stanford University (2009), and a John Smith Fellow (United Kingdom, 2013).
