Paving the way for an accelerated relaunch of the Irshansk Mining and Processing Plant

Representatives of the State Property Fund of Ukraine (SPFU) have made a visit to UMCC TITANIUM’s IMPP branch in the Zhytomyr region. The SPFU was represented by a team from its Department of Corporate Rights and accompanied by members of the UMCC Management Board.

The goal of the SPFU visit was to come up with potential solutions to several problematic issues, some of which require rapid decision-making. One of the key issues was the relaunch of the IMPP branch. The team from the State Property Fund and the UMCC Management Board discussed the possibilities of identifying and entering new markets, alternative options for logistics, and various opportunities and possibilities to increase the company’s resource base.

UMCC TITANIUM’s Deputy Chairman Dimitri Kalandadze provided the representatives of the State Property Fund with an overview of the local production processes and beneficiation technologies.

Dimitri Kalandadze emphasized the fact that the company’s management team is now actively working on relaunching the IMPP branch. “We expect that production go online in the nearest future and will reach the planned monthly capacity of ~18,000 tons by the end of the year.”
